Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je prikazati povijesni razvoj pomorske navigacije od inercijalnog sustava upravljanja pa do suvremenih satelitskih sustava visoke preciznosti pozicioniranja. U radu su temeljito obrađeni sustavi koji su prethodili današnjim satelitskim sustavima kao i napredni sustavi koji se danas koriste i dalje razvijaju a sve kako bi se povećala brzina prijenosa signala do korisnika te dobivanje što točnije pozicije. U obalnoj navigaciji netočna pozicija može biti vrlo opasna, dok u oceanskoj navigaciji može značiti dodatno vrijeme plovidbe odnosno dodatni utrošak pogonskog goriva Razvojem e-navigacije GPS,GLONASS i GALIEO sustavi su poboljšani korištenjem SBASS sustava (Satellite Based Augmentation System), odnosno WAAS sustava za područje SAD-a, EGNOS sustava za područje Europe i drugih sustava koji danas omogućuju pokrivenost gotovo cijele zemaljske kugle kvalitetnim satelitskim signalom.
Abstract (english)
Goal of this thesis is to present the historical development of maritime navigation, from the inertial navigation system to the modern satellite systems of high precision positioning. The systems that preceded today's satellite systems as well as the advanced systems that are being used today are still being developed, all in order to increase the transmission rate of the signal to the user and to obtain the most accurate positions. In coastal navigation, inaccurate position may be very dangerous, while in ocean navigation may mean additional time of navigation or additional fuel expense. By developing e-navigation, GPS and GLONASS systems have been improved by using the Satellite Based Augmentation System, or more precisely, the WAAS system for the area of US, the EGNOS system for area of Europe and other systems that now allow coverage of all the Earth with high quality satellite signals.
