Abstract
U ovom završnom radu obrađena je tema uređaja za automatsko plotiranje (engl. Automatic Radar Plotting Aids - ARPA) i automatskog identifikacijskog sustava (engl. Automatic Identification System - AIS). To su uređaji koji se koriste kao navigacijska pomagala u svrhu što brže i sigurnije plovidbe. Cilj ovog rada je ukazati na značaj poznavanja teorije i principa rada ovih uređaja u svrhu jednostavnije uporabe tijekom navigacije. ARPA uređaj koristeći radiovalove daje informacije časniku o promatranom objektu kao što su udaljenost, brzina i pozicija. AIS uređaj omogućuje elektroničku razmjenu brodskih navigacijskih podataka koji obavezno uključuju identifikaciju broda, položaj broda te kurs i brzinu broda. Podaci se mogu prikazati na ekranu, radaru, sustavu elektroničkih karata(engl. Electronic Chart Display and Information System - ECDIS), itd. Oba uređaja su neizostavni dio integriranog navigacijskog sustava.
Abstract (english)
In this final work the theme are ARPA and AIS devices. Those are devices used as a navigational aids in purpose of faster and safer navigation. The goal of this final work is to point out importance of having theoretical knowledge and operating principle in purpose of easier use of ARPA and AIS during navigation. The ARPA device using radio waves provides information to the officer on the object being viewed such as distance, speed and position. The AIS device enables electronic excange of navigation informations which includes the identification of the ship, position of the vessel and sped of navigation. Data can be displayed on the screen, radar, ECDIS, etc. Both devices are an indispensable part of integrated navigation system.
