Until the current pandemic, for a decade ago tourism was one of the fastest growing sectors of the world economy, and its effects on the local economy were significant. Tourism plays a key role in global economic activity, job creation and added value. Nautical tourism is a very important type, ie a component of tourism. This form of tourism is extremely attractive and appealing to both foreign and domestic tourists. Therefore, the goal of the state is to better organize and optimize the field of nautical tourism, adopt various measures and implement strategies to improve and better promote nautical tourism.Current measures and programs are in favor of increasing the quality and efficiency of investment in tourism, with the aim of increasing added value. Numerous studies indicate an increase in energy consumption in tourism activities with a significant impact on the environment. Promoting sustainable development and implementing socially responsible activities can be based on the use of RES, especially solar and wind energy. However, ineffective legal frameworks or the lack of national programs and standards for the use and development of RES can discourage implementation. The aim of this paper is to analyze the concept of social responsibility and explore its role in the process of implementing the concept of sustainability of nautical tourism. The intention is to explore the way in which the concept of social responsibility is implemented in nautical tourism and to analyze how it contributes to its sustainability.
