The paper investigates the possibilities of developing new services and facilities in the marina and nautical tourism industry. Furthermore, the possibilities of improving the existing nautical tourist offer in nautical tourism ports for the purpose of sustainable development of the sector and the associated local community are being investigated. The activities of nautical tourism ports, especially marinas as the most developed type, play a vital role in the life of the coastal area, and in the economy of countries strategically focused on maritime tourism and tourism in general. The Republic of Croatia has very attractive natural resources and a developed nautical infrastructure favorable for achieving high profits and the desired competitive position. In addition to the above, marinas should continuously monitor demand requirements and market trends, and timely enrich their offer by introducing new services and facilities. In doing so, they should take care of natural resources, the interests of the community and the economic aspect of sustainable development. The paper presents an example of several Croatian marinas that have enriched their offer by adding new services and facilities in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
