Abstract
Kako bi brod mogao uspješno ploviti potrebna mu je stabilnost. Stabilnost je jedna od temeljnih svojstva broda koja omogućuje njegovu plovidbu i s kojom svaki pomorac treba biti upoznat. Poznavanje stabilnosti određene vrste broda pri prijevozu punog ili praznog važna je ne samo za brod nego i za sigurnost posade, putnika i tereta. U ovom završnom radu obrađena je stabilnost broda za prijevoz rasutog tereta. Kod takvih brodova teret se može ponašati kao tekućina i nastaje utjecaj slobodnih površina. Zbog toga SOLAS je propisao posebne propise i norme za prijevoz takvog tereta, pogotovo žita. Na kraju rada opisana je stabilnost na primjeru broda M/B Split.
Abstract (english)
In order for a ship to sail successfully it requires stability stability is one of the fundamental characheristics of a ship that enables the ship to navigate and every seafarer must be acquainted with. Knowing the stability of a certain type of ship during transportation, whether it be loaded or not, is of paramount importance not only for the ship itself, but also for safety of the crew, the passengers as well as the cargo. This papaer deals with the stability of ship used for the transportation of bulk cargo. This type of cargo is known to behave as a liquid and during its transportation can cause a free surface effect. Therefore, SOLAS has enacted special regulations and norms for the transportation of such a cargo, especially that of wheat. Finally, the ship M/B Split is given as an example for the analysis of ship stability.
