Abstract
Predmet istraživanja ovog diplomskog rada su vrste brodova za prijevoz teških tereta odnosno njihovi tipovi i konstrukcije. Na temelju konstrukcijskih i tehnoloških obilježja će biti odlučeno koja tehnologija prekrcaja će se koristit. Svrha rada je objasniti različite tehnologije prekrcaja ro-ro, lo-lo i flo-flo brodova. Vrlo bitan segment je teret koji se želi otpremiti te vrijeme i novac koji je na raspolaganju. Odabir tipa broda u potpunosni ovisi o odnosu vremena, novca i tereta. U diplomskom radu opisani su različiti tipovi brodova za prijevoz teških tereta koji se mogu naći na današnjem tržištu. Za pojedini tip konstrukcije broda je navedena njihova uloga odnosno način prekrcaja tereta, fizička svojstva i specifikacije. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je pružiti informacije o odabiru vrste brodova za prijevoz teških tereta i detaljno razradit njihov način rada.
Abstract (english)
The research of this master thesis focuses on heavy-lift ships, i.e. their types and designs. The form of cargo-handling technology depends on the design and technological features of these vessels. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the variety of cargo-handling technologies in ro-ro, lo-lo and flo-flo vessels. The type of cargo, time of delivery and costs represent crucial aspects in these operations. The selection of a ship type entirely depends on the cargo, time and available financial resources. The paper describes various types of heavy-lift ships that are available on market today, explaining the physical features, specifications and ways of cargo loading and discharging for each individual type of ship design. The purpose of the master thesis is to provide detailed information for selecting suitable heavy-lift ship designs with regard to their modes of operation.
