Abstract
Onečišćenje morskog okoliša podrazumijeva unošenja tvari ili energije u morski okoliš koje uzrokuju teške posljedice na život u moru, ugrožavaju zdravlje ljudi te ometaju pomorske djelatnosti. More je važno za čovjekov opstanak te je izrazito bitno kroz organizirano društveno djelovanje prevenirati potencijalna onečišćenja. Kroz rad se prikazuju najznačajnije konvencije i drugi propisi koji štite morski okoliš od različitih štetnih tvari. Najvažniji preventivni propis koji regulira sprječavanje onečišćenja mora s brodova je MARPOL konvencija.
Abstract (english)
Contamination of the marine environment involves the introduction of substances or energy into the marine environment that cause serious consequences to life in the sea, endanger human health and interfere with maritime activities. Sea is important for human survival and it is extremely important through organized social action to prevent potential pollution. Through the work we have presented the most important conventions and regulations that protect the marine environment. The most important preventive regulation that regulates prevention marine pollution from ships is the MARPOL Convention.
