Abstract
Uplovljavanje u luku predstavlja kraj plovidbenog puta. Uplovljavanje je zadnji korak u plovidbi broda ali isto tako i jedan od najvećih izazova zapovjedniku, časnicima i posadi broda. Kako bi brod na siguran način mogao uploviti u luku potrebna mu je usluga peljarenja koju obavljaju peljari. Peljari su stručne osobe zaposlene od strane peljarskih organizacija u cilju sigurnosti plovidbe. Svojim iskustvom plovidbe u određenom akvatoriju, poznavanjem lokalnih meteoroloških uvjeta te poznavanjem reda i pravila u luci uvelike pomažu posadi broda pri njegovu uplovljavanju u luku.
Abstract (english)
Sailing into the port presents the end of navigation. Sailing into port is the last step in vessel's navigation but also presents the one of the biggest challenges to ship Master, officers and crew. The vessel needs the service of maritime pilotage to enters the port safely. Maritime pilotage is done by maritime pilots. Maritime pilots are employees of the maritime pilotage organizations for the maritime safety purpose. Maritime pilots have experience of navigation in local waters, knowledge of local meteorological conditions and knowledge of port rules and orders which is the crucial factor for vessel's sailing into the port.
