Abstract
U ovom radu se analizira utjecaj vjetra na manevriranje raznih tipova brodova. Brod mora ploviti u stabilnom položaju. Ukoliko se zbog djelovanja neke vanjske sile kao što je vjetar brod nagne za odreĎeni kut, sam se mora vratiti u prvobitni položaj nakon prestanka djelovanja sile koja je izazvala nagib. Sila kojom vjetar djeluje na brod razmjerna je kvadratu brzine vjetra, površine na koju djeluje i kutu pod kojim stoji izložena površina u odnosu na vjetar. Ako vjetar djeluje okomito učinak je najveći. Zanošenje broda će biti veće što je veći nadvodni dio i manji gaz. Ako brod plovi s vjetrom u pramac ili krmu nema zanošenja, ali mu se smanjuje/povećava brzina i zaustavni put. Vjetar ne djeluje jednako na svaki brod, što ovisi o obilježjima samog broda.
Abstract (english)
The ship must sail in a stable position, if the outer force effect is too high and causes ship inclination she needs to return in the initial position. The force on which the wind acts on a ship is proportional to the square of the wind speed, the surface which affects and the angle under which the surface is exposed to the wind. If the wind blows vertically effect is greatest. A ship veer will be greater due to bigger deck surface and smaller draft. If the ship sails with the wind in the bow or stern there is no swelling, but it decreases / increases the speed and the stopping distance. Due to strong wind effect every maneuver must be carried out with a full driving force and max steering wheel turn to keep the wind effect period as short as possible. The wind does not affect every ship equally that depends on every ship individually.
