Abstract
Cilj rada je prikazati kako je održavanje broda ključno za duži životni vijek tog istog broda, veću profitabilnost, manje troškove brodovlasnika i veću sigurnost putnika, posade i tereta. U prvom poglavlju opisana je uloga klasifikacijskih društava, te pregledi brodova i uloga klase. Drugo poglavlje opisuje održavanje broda i njegove troškove, kako napraviti najučinkovitiji plan održavanja broda, te koje metode u održavanju postoje. U trećem poglavlju opisana je primjena računalnih programa u održavanju. U ovom radu istaknuta je važnost ulaganja u održavanje broda, kao i važnost ulaganja u obrazovanje posade i nove tehnologije.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the paper is to show how maintenance of the ship is crucial for the longer life of that same ship, great profitability, less total shipowner costs and greater safety of passengers, crew and cargo.The first chapter describes the role of classification societies, as well asship survey and the role of the class.The second chapter describes the maintanenance process along with maintenance costs, how to make the most effective ship maintenance plan and different maintenance methods. The third chapter describes the application of computer programs in ships maintenance.In this paper, the importance of investing in ships maintenance is highlighted as well as the importance of investing in crew education or new technologies.
