Abstract
Pojam manevriranja brodom podrazumijeva vještinu upravljanja brodom u raznim situacijama u kojima se brod i posada mogu naći. Kako bi se što lakše svladalo upravljanje brodom potrebno je poznavati čimbenike koji utječu na uspješnost istoga. Visok stupanj automatizacije i novih uređaja na brodovima, kako u navigacijskom, tako i u pogonskom smislu, bitno je utjecao na unaprjeđenje sigurnosti, pouzdanosti i ekonomičnosti broda. U ovom radu opisani su brodski potiskivači koji se koriste pri manevriranju. Pored opisa samih uređaja, u radu su navedena obilježja pojedinih vrsta potiskivača. Cilj ovog rada je pružiti viziju kako je tehnološki razvoj potiskivača uvelike poboljšao manevarske osobine broda i povećao sigurnost članova posade i samog broda.
Abstract (english)
The term of ship maneuvering implies ship handling skills in various situations in which ship and crew members can be found. In order to manage the ship more easily, it is necessary to know the factors that affect the success of managing the ship. High level of automation and new equipment on overseas ships, both in navigation and in operating terms, significantly influenced the improvement of safety, reliability and economy of the ship. In this paper the ship thrusters used in maneuvering are described. In addition to the description of the devices themselves, the paper describes the characteristics of some types of thrusters. The objective of this article is to provide a vision of how technological developments of the thrusters greatly improved the maneuvering characteristics of the ship and increased the safety of the crew members and ship itself.
