Abstract
U ovom je radu obrađena tema vezana za upotrebu sustava inertnog plina na tankerima. Tankeri za prijevoz nafte i naftnih prerađevina smatraju se brodovima izrazito velike opasnosti zbog uvjeta koje moraju zadovoljavati tijekom prijevoza tereta morem i u luci. Uvođenjem sustava inertnog plina smanjio se broj nesreća i eksplozija koje su se događale tijekom prošlog stoljeća. Inertni plin je plin koji ne podržava gorenje ugljikovodika, odnosno on spriječava nastanak požara i eksplozije tako da je udio kisika manji od 5%. Na brodovima se uglavnom dobiva iz dimnih plinova pomoćnih parnih kotlova. Prije ulaska u tank, mora biti ohlađen i pročišćen. Propisi o inertnom plinu se uvijek nadopunjuju i proširuju. Sustav inertnog plina se primjenjuje na svim vrstama brodova za prijevoz tekućeg tereta.
Abstract (english)
In this study is discussed topic related to use of inert gas system on tankers. Oil tankers and product tankers are considered to be vessels of extremely high risk because of conditions to be met during the carriage of goods by sea and in port. With the introduction of inert gas system was to reduce the number of accidents and explosions that have taken place over the last century. The inert gas is gas which prevents fire and explosion so that the oxygen content is less than 5%. On vessels are mainly delivered from the flue gas of auxiliary steam boilers. Before entering the tank, it must be cooled and purified. Regulations related to inert gas are always complement and expand. The system of inert gas is applied to all types of ships for transport of liquid cargo.
