Abstract
U radu je razmatrana upotreba GPS-a u navigaciji. Budući da su stari pomorci ploveći oceanima orijentirali se pomoću terestričkih objekata ili pomoću astronomskih objekata kao što su sunce, mjesec i planete razvijanje globalnog pozicijskog sustava im je uvelike olakšalo posao. Tu dolazi do razvijanja Navstar sustava u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama, te nešto kasnije do ruskog sustava Glonass. Ta se tehnologija prvo razvijala u vojne svrhe, a tek kasnije se mogla koristiti svakodnevno na čemu se upravi i bazira korištenje GPS sustava kojim se rad bavi. Ciljevi ovog rada su: uvod u satelitsko pozicioniranje, opisivanje raznih satelitskih sustava za pozicioniranje kao što su Navstar, Glonass, GPS.
Abstract (english)
This graduate work deals with the use of GPS in navigation. Since first sailors sailing on the oceans are oriented by terrestrial objects, or by using astronomical objects such as the sun, moon and the planet, developing a global positioning system has greatly facilitated their work. Here we come to the development of the Navstar system with the Americans, and later on to the Russian system Glonass. This technology first developed for military purposes and could only be used later to the current GPS system which we are going to describe in this work. The objectives of this work are as follows: introduction to satellite positioning, and description of various satellite positioning systems such as Navstar, GLONASS, GPS.
