Abstract
Sustav dinamičkog pozicioniranja je računalno upravljan sustav koji je značajno promijenio pomorsku i „offshore“ industriju. Ova je tehnologija pomogla u stvaranju novih, posebnih plovila koja mogu izvršavati zadatke koji su nekad bili nezamislivi. Dinamičko pozicioniranje omogućava plovilima da se slobodno kreću u željenim smjerovima po površini mora, poništavajući utjecaj morskih struja i vjetra. Također, ovaj sustav može automatski regulirati poziciju plovila te omogućuje preciznu plovidbu. Njegova je osnovna zadaća automatsko održavanje zadane pozicije i kursa plovila. Veliki zamah u korištenju DP sustava u pomorskoj industriji zabilježen je tek posljednjih tridesetak godina najviše zbog složenosti i visokih troškova ugradnje tog sustava na brodove.
Abstract (english)
The Dynamic Positioning System is a computerized controlled system which has altered the maritime and offshore industry itself. This technology has helped create new, special vessels that can perform tasks that were once unthinkable. Dynamic positioning allows boats to move freely in desired directions on the surface of the sea without the possibility of interfering with sea currents and wind. Also, this system can automatically regulate the position of the boat and enables precise navigation. Its basic function is the automatic maintenance of the default position and course of the boat. The great momentum in using the DP system in the maritime industry has only been recorded for the last thirty years, mainly because of the complexity and high costs of installing this system on ships.
