Abstract
Moderni navigacijski instrumenti i oprema neizostavna su pomagala u današnjoj navigaciji. 21. stoljeće donosi napredak tehnologije, a takav trend prati i pomorska industrija. Kako bi slika prometa u kojoj se brod našao bila što preglednija, časnici koriste integrirani sustav navigacije. Integrirani sustav podrazumijeva umreţavanje navigacijske opreme, na navigacijskom mostu broda, kako bi časnik na straţi mogao imati što bolji nadzor nad plovidbom. Časnici plovidbene straţe imaju duţnost da vode navigaciju, izbjegavaju sudare i opasne situacije, te da sigurno upravljaju brodom. Sve ove ne bi bilo moguće bez adekvatne navigacijske opreme. Radar časniku omogućuje detekciju brodova koje se nalaze u blizini, a elektroničke karte, koje polako zamjenjuju papirnate, omogućuju lakši nadzor kretanja broda.
Abstract (english)
Modern navigational instruments and equipment are the inevitable aids in today's navigation. The 21st century brings technological advances, and this trend is followed by the maritime industry. In order for the image of the traffic in which the ship was found to be as clear as possible, the officers use an integrated navigation system. The integrated system implies networking of navigation equipment on the navigation bridge of the ship so that the on-watch officer can have as much control over navigation as possible. The officer on-watch have the duty to navigate, avoid collisions and dangerous situations, and to safely navigate the ship. All these couldn't be done without adequate navigation equipment. The radar officer allows the detection of ships that are in close proximity, while electronic cards, which slowly replace the paper, allow easier control of the ship movement.
