Abstract
Posljednjih deset godina dogodile su se revolucionarne primjene u globalnoj trgovini. Veliku ulogu u tom procesu odigrali su prometski sustavi, a posebno pomorski transport. Međunarodni i regionalni transport podrazumijeva najveći stupanj mobilnosti tereta i putnika. Većina pomorskih luka mijenja načine za prihvat i transport robe, stoga dolazi do pojave intermodalnog, multimodalnog i kombiniranog transporta. Sada se poseban naglasak stavlja na smjerove razvoja logističkih aktivnosti radi usklađivanja transportnog lanca s ciljem da se poveća konkurentnost na tržištu smanjenjem troškova i povećanjem brzine kretanja robe. Robni lanci povezuju globalno gospodarstvo i njegove visoko integrirane proizvodne sustave. Tehnološke inovacije u transportnom sektoru, odnosno kontejnerizacija, omogućile su brzo i učinkovito rukovanje industrijskim proizvodima.
Abstract (english)
Over the past decade, revolutionary changes have taken place in global trade. Traffic systems, especially maritime transport, played a major role in this process. International and regional transport implies the highest level of mobility of passengers and cargo. Most shipping ports are changing ways of receiving and transporting freight, so intermodal, multimodal and combined transportation is present. Special emphasis is put on the development of logistics activities to align the transport chain with the aim of increasing market competitiveness by lowering costs and increasing the transport of goods. Trade chains connect the global economy and its highly integrated production systems. Technological innovations in the transport sector, containerization, have enabled quick and efficient handling of industrial products.
