Abstract
Porivni sustav brodu omogućuje savladavanje različitih otpora kako bi se efikasno kretao kroz vodeni medij. Komponente porivnog sustava su međusobno povezane i zavisne, a njihov odabir ovisi o vrsti broda i njegovoj namjeni. Od modernih brodskih porivnih sustava se traži što veća iskoristivost i snaga, što manje cijene ugradnje i održavanja i teži se ekološki prihvatljivijim sustavima.
Abstract (english)
The propulsion system allows the ship to overcome various resistances in order to move efficiently through the water medium. Choice of components depends on the ship`s type and its purpose.. Modern maritime propulsion systems are required to be highly efficient and powerful, have the lowest possible installation and maintenance cost, and strive for more environmentally friendly systems.
