Abstract
U suvremeno doba općeg tehničko tehnološkog napretka, osobito u pomorskom sektoru, posebna pozornost pridaje se području sigurnosti plovidbe na morima. U slučajevima kada je sigurnost broda i posade na bilo koji način ugrožena; odnosno kad se brod zatekne pred mogućom havarijom, od toga trenutka brodska posada dužna je reagirati prema međunarodnim propisanim pravilima i konvencijama. Prema istim pravilima posada je dužna najžurnije odaslati odgovarajući alarmni signal na nekoliko međunarodnih pomorskih frekvencija. U trenutku kada se na obalnoj postaji zaprimi žurni poziv za pomoć, isti zahtjev prosljeđuje se središtu za usklađivanje potrage i spašavanja. U slučajevima ugroze ljudskih života/posade te moguće havarije od iznimne je važnosti brzo, djelotvorno i usklađeno djelovanje svih mogućih čimbenika uključenih u spašavanje. Presudni čimbenik pri akciji potrage i spašavanja zasigurno je vrijeme, kao i snalažljivost, uvježbanost ljudi te sredstva koja se koriste pri intervenciji spašavanja.
Abstract (english)
In the modern era of general technological progress, particularly in the maritime sector, special attention is paid to the area of maritime safety. In cases where the safety of the ship and crew is in any way compromised; or when the ship is caught in the event of a possible average, from that moment the ship crew is obliged to react accordingly to internationally prescribed rules and conventions. According to the same rules, the crew is obliged to send the appropriate alarm signal at several international maritime frequencies. As soon as a distress call is received at the coastal station, the same request is forwarded to the search and rescue center. In cases where human life/crew is in danger and there is possibility of average, it is of utmost importance to quickly, efficiently and coordinately operate all possible factors involved in rescue. A crucial factor in search and rescue action is certainly time, as well as adroitness, training of people, and resources used in rescue intervention.
