Abstract
U ovome završnom radu pružit će se uvid u sportsku disciplinu ronjenje na dah s natjecateljskog aspekta. Ronjenje na dah je ekstremni sport koji uključuje zadržavanje daha pod vodom. Ova disciplina testira granice ljudskog tijela u pogledu konzerviranja kisika, izdržljivosti i mentalne snage. Ronjenje na dah je kao natjecateljska discipline postao sve popularniji tijekom godina s mnogim meĎunarodnim organizacijama koje redovito organiziraju natjecanja, a jedna od tih je AIDA. Cilj natjecanja u ronjenju na dah je uroniti što dublje ili plivati što je dulje moguće na jednom udisaju zraka. Discipline u ronjenju na dah mogu se podijeliti na dubinske i bazenske discipline, a definirane su od strane AIDA organizacije koja ih broji ukupno osam od kojih je šest natjecateljskih. Važan aspekt ronjenja na dah predstavlja sigurnost s odgovarajućom opremom, obukom i sigurnosnim protokolima. Osobe koje se natječu u ronjenu na dah moraju razviti fizičku i psihičku spremnost, tehnike disanja kao i razumijevanje fizioloških odgovora svog tijela na podvodno okruženje.
Abstract (english)
This thesis will provide an insight into sport discipline freediving from a competitive perspective. Freediving is an extreme discipline that involves holding one's breath underwater. This discipline challenges the limits of the human body in terms of oxygen conservation, endurance, and mental strength. The sport of freediving as a competitive discipline has become increasingly popular over the years, with many international organizations regularly organizing competitions and events and one of such is AIDA. The aim of freediving competitions is to dive as deep or swim as long as possible on a single breath of air. Freediving competitions have various disciplines which can be further divided into pool and deep competition, which are defined by AIDA and it counts eight disciplines, with six of them being competitive. Safety is an important aspect of freediving, with proper equipment, training, and safety protocols. Individuals competing in freediving must develop physical and mental strength, breathing techniques as well as an understanding body's physiological responses to the underwater environment.
