Abstract
U ovom radu se obrađuje tema zlouporabe lijekova i stvaranju ovisnosti. Lijekovi unatoč pozitivnom djelovanju na određene bolesti i tegobe, mogu imati i negativne efekte ukoliko se primjenjuju u pogrešne svrhe. S obzirom da su lijekovi legalnog porijekla i često prepisani od doktora, teže se uočava stvaranje ovisnosti o njima pa je i lakše njihovo iskorištavanje. U radu se raspravlja o štetnosti zlouporabe lijekova općenito, ali i specifično o opijatima i sedativima kao najčešće zloupotrebljivanim lijekovima. Ovisnost o takvoj vrsti lijekova se stvara brzo jednako kao i tolerancija pa postepeno i u relativno kratkom roku dolazi do povećanja unosa količine supstanci. Zbog brzog stvaranja ovisnosti i tolerancije, ovisnost o ovim sredstvima može biti vrlo opasna i dovesti do neželjenih komplikacija. Ukoliko dođe do psihičke i fizičke ovisnosti kod osobe, potrebno je liječenje i traženje stručne pomoći kako bi se što uspješnije došlo do ozdravljenja i sprječavanja ponovnog relapsa.
Abstract (english)
This paper deals with the issue of medicine abuse and addiction. Despite the beneficial effects on some diseases and conditions, drugs can also have adverse effects if used for the wrong purposes. Since medicines are of legal origin and often prescribed by a doctor, it is harder to detect addiction to them, so it is easier to abuse them. The paper discusses the harmfulness of drug abuse in general, but specifically opiates and tranquilizers as the most commonly abused drugs. Addiction to these types of drugs develops quickly, as does tolerance, so gradually and in a relatively short time, there is an increase in the use of substances. Due to the rapid development of addiction and tolerance, these drugs can be highly dangerous and lead to undesirable complications. If a person becomes mentally and physically addicted, it is necessary to seek treatment and professional help to recover as successfully as possible and prevent a relapse.
