Abstract
Međunarodni turizam je u svijetu u stalnom usponu. Analiza njegova kretanja u razdoblju od 1950. do 2002. godine pokazuje da se broj međunarodnih dolazaka povećao više od 28 puta, dok su prihodi od međunarodnog turizma porasli čak nešto više od 220 puta. Prognoziranje međunarodnih turističkih dolazaka prema svjetskim regijama pokazuje da će vodeća turistička receptivna regija biti Europa. Konkurencija na svjetskom turističkom tržištu postaje sve oštrija, i to ne samo među zemljama jedne regije, nego i među regijama na svjetskoj, globalnoj razini. Turistička ponuda Dalmacije raznolika je i bogata - od nautičkog turizma, ronilačkog, kongresnog, ekološkog, ruralnog, kulturnog, vjerskog, pustolovnog, lovnog i ribolovnog turizma pa sve do zdravstvenog i wellness turizma, krstarenja na motornim jedrenjacima i izletničkog turizma.
Abstract (english)
International tourism is on the rise in the world. An analysis of its trends from 1950 to 2002 shows that the number of international arrivals has increased more than 28 times, while the revenues from international tourism have increased by just over 220 times. Forecasting international tourist arrivals by world regions shows that Europe will be the leading tourist receptive region. Competition in the global tourism market is becoming increasingly fierce, not only among countries in one region, but also among regions globally. The tourist offer of Dalmatia is diverse and rich - from nautical tourism, diving, congress, ecological, rural, cultural, religious, adventure, hunting and fishing tourism to health and wellness tourism, motor sailing and excursion tourism.
