Abstract
Pogon trgovačke flote tijekom prošlog stoljeća doživio je značajnu transformaciju. Sada dominiraju dizelski pogoni zbog svoje učinkovitosti i s troškovima goriva koji čine velik dio tekućih troškova broda. Tip pogonskog sustava koji se koristi na brodu ovisi o nekoliko čimbenika kao što su zahtijevana brzina, potrebna snaga, vrsta broda, područje plovidbe. U tom kontekstu, pored stupnja iskoristivosti propulzijskog stroja važni su i mnogi drugi čimbenici, npr. ekološki, iskoristivost prostora, masa i gabariti porivnog stroja. Stoga se uz dizelske pogone rabe još plinske turbine, parne turbine, i niz njihovih kombinacija. U takvim kombinacijama često se rabe i elektromotori zbog njihovih povoljnih manevarskih performansi. U radu je dat pregled te su strukturno opisani porivni sustavi prema tipu porivnog stroja.
Abstract (english)
The propulsion of merchant shipping has, during the last century, undergone a significant transformation. It is now dominated by diesel propulsion machinery with the cost of fuel accounting for a large proportion of the running costs of the ship. The type of propulsion system used in a ship depends on several factors such as speed, power demand, ship type, area etc. Against this background, the degree of utilization of propulsion machines is also important for many other factors like ecological sustainability, usability of space, mass and weight. Therefore, propulsion systems include other forms of drive types: gas turbines, steam turbines, as well as their combination. Also, in such combinations, electric motors are used because of their favourable manoeuvrability. This study gives a brief overview and description of some propulsion system structures according to the type of propulsion machine used.
