Abstract
Epikontinentalni pojas obuhvaća morsko dno i podzemlje izvan vanjske granice teritorijalnog mora u smjeru pučine do granice epikontinentalnog pojasa sa susjednom državom. Država ima pravo na iskorištavanje i istraživanje prirodnih bogatstava morskog dna. Epikontinentalni pojas je prvi put reguliran Konvencijama o epikontinentalnom pojasu iz 1958. godine te 1982. godine Konvencijom UN o pravu mora. Granice epikontinentalnog pojasa Republike Hrvatske i Republike Italije utvrđene su sporazumom između Italije i bivše SFRJ iz 1968. godine.
Abstract (english)
Continental shelf covers national seabed and suboil out of exterior limit-line of the territorial sea in the direction of the open sea till limit-line of continental shelf with a neighbour state. The state has the right to exploit and research the seabed natural resources. The Continental self is first time regulated by Continental shelf Convention from 1958. and after by Convention on the Law of the Sea from 1982. The limit-lines of Republic of Croatia and Republic of Italy are determined with agreement between Italy and former SFRY from 1968.
