Abstract
Matematika je jedna od prvih znanosti koja je proizašla iz različitih vrsta problema s kojima su se ljudi suočavali kroz povijest, kao takva jedna je od glavnih i temeljnih kolegija na svim tehničkim fakultetima. Znanja iz matematike se koriste u različitim pomorskim djelatnostima pa tako i u izobrazbi pomoraca. Na Pomorskom fakultetu matematika je prisutna u svim smjerovima kroz kolegije Matematika I i Matematika II na prvoj godini studija. Svladavajući spomenute stječe se temeljno znanje koje je potrebno za svladavanje stručnih kolegija. Ovisno o namjeni broda, njegovo planiranje i konstrukcija temelji se na nizu matematičkih proračuna. Spoznaje iz matematike također su prisutne u pomorskoj navigaciji odnosno uporabi broda. Rad je dao presjek nekih od kolegija pri čijem svladavanju je neophodno znanje iz matematike.
Abstract (english)
Mathematics is one of the first sciences that has emerged from the different kinds of problems people face with history, as such is one of the main and core courses in all technical faculties. Mathematics knowledge is used in various maritime activities and in training seafarers. At the Faculty of Maritime Studies, Mathematics is present in all courses through the courses of Mathematics I and Mathematics II in the first year of study. By mastering these, the basic knowledge required for mastering the professional courses is gained. Depending on the purpose of the ship, it´s planning and construction is based on a series of mathematical calculations. Mathematical knowledge is also present in maritime navigation or in using of a ship. This text has given a cross-section of some of the courses in which mastery of mathematics is necessary.
