The subject of this final work is screw cavitation. On modern ships, the screw is the most widely used type of propulsion engine and almost the only means of propagation. It can be shown as a screw that rotates the ship's machine on the axle and turning in water as a nut, the power of the ship's machine turns into movement, ie it generates a drive. The bolt consists of a head and two to eight sheets. According to the technical version, a fixed-wing bolt is now in use, then the twisted-bolt wedge or bolts can be changed by swinging the wings. Each of the screws mentioned has its advantages and disadvantages. Depending on the type and design of the screws, there is a risk of cavitation that is greatest in high-impact screws or screws that give a very large bend. The purpose of this work is to show the cause of the cavitation, then the division and the type of cavitation or the physical nature of the occurrence. The shape and intensity of cavitation depend on the cavitation number and the incidence of the cavity. At the end of the work, damage caused by cavitation and their prevention will be shown.
