Abstract
Zadatak navigacije je točno, sigurno i vremenski ograničeno vođenje broda s jedne točke na drugu unaprijed izabranim putom. Satelitski navigacijski sustavi omogućuju da se odrede položaj, brzina i druge veličine objekata na temelju radijskih valova primljenih sa satelita. GPS je jedini potpuni operativni GNSS u svijetu do sada a GLONASS je još pod modernizacijom. Još dva GNSS sustava, GALILEO sustav europske unije i kineski COMPASS sustav su još uvijek u razvoju. 1992. upotreba moderne satelitske tehnologije rezultirala je potpunom promjenom sustava pomorskih komunikacija u pogibelji. GMDSS je bolji, jednostavniji i korisniji sustav za pogibelj i sigurnost. Oslanja se na dobro pokazanoj automatici i koristi opsežno Inmarsatove satelite za brze i pouzdane komunikacije.
Abstract (english)
The task of navigation is accurate, safe and limited in time keeping the ship from one point to another pre- selected path. Satellite navigation systems allow to determine the position, speed and other sizes of objects based on radio waves received from the satellite. GPS is the only fully operational GNSS in the world so far and GLONASS is still under modernization. Two GNSS system, Galileo system of the European Union and the Chinese COMPASS system are still developing. 1992 use of modern satellite technology has resulted in a complete change of the system of maritime communications in distress. GMDSS is better, simpler and more useful system for Distress and Safety System. It relies on well - demonstrated automation and used extensively Inmarsat satellites for fast and reliable communications.
