Abstract
Otpor broda jedna je od brojnih komponenata koje je potrebno uzeti u obzir prilikom plovidbe broda različitim vodama. Otpor broda je sila koja djeluje u smjeru suprotnom od onog kojim se brod kreće i uz pomoć te sile brod zadržava svoju konstantnu brzinu. Kako bi brod što stabilnije plovio i zadržao jednaku brzinu, prilikom izgradnje potrebno je voditi računa o obliku trupa broda kako bi se otpor odnosno sila koja mu se suprostavlja svela na minimalnu razinu. Kada se promatra otpor broda postoji nekoliko varijanti istog u zavisnosti o uvjetima u kojima se brod nalazi. U ovom radu će se na najprije objasniti što je to otpor broda, te svi osnovni pojmovi vezani uz njega. Osim toga, prikazati će se također i kakav sve otpor broda može biti s obzirom na uvjete u kojima brod plovi.
Abstract (english)
The vessel´s resistance is one of many components that needs to be taken into account when navigating a boat in different waters. The ship´s resistance is a force that operates in the opposite direction from the one that the vessel moves in and with the help of that force the boat retains its constant speed. In order for the boat to be stable while sailing and to keep even speed, during construction it is necessary to take into account the hull shape in order to minimize the resistance that is, the opposing force. When looking at the ship´s resistance there are several variants depending on the conditions in which the boat is found. In this paper, first will be explained what is the boat´s resistance, and all the basic concepts related to it. In addition, it will also be shown how the ship´s resistance can be in regards to the conditions in which the ship is sailing.
