Abstract
Razvoj pomorskog prometa, ali i čovjekova potreba za istraživanjem neistraženih područja u svojoj okolini su imale velik utjecaj na razvitak hidrografske djelatnosti, odnosno metoda i instrumenata za mjerenje dubina. Tehnološkim razvojem dolazi do novih mogućnosti kod provedbe hidrografskog premjera s točnijim i pouzdanijim podacima. U ovom radu su obrađene suvremene metode mjerenja dubina s naglaskom na ultrazvučne dubinomjere kao najčešći instrument pri mjerenju dubina. Ipak, tek je vrlo malen dio svjetskih mora i oceana premjeren, ponajviše zbog tehnoloških ograničenja pa se može pretpostaviti da će razvoj instrumenata i metoda za hidrografski premjer teći i dalje.
Abstract (english)
Development of maritime trafic, as well as man's need for exploration of unexplored areas in his environment had major influence od development of hydrography, regarding to methods and depth measuring instruments. Technological development reveals new options on performing hydrographic survey with more accurate and reliable data. In this paper are processed modern methods of hydrographic survey, focusing on sonars as most common instrument used in depth measurement. Nevertheless, yet very small part of seas and oceans around the world has been surveyed, mostly because of technological limitations so it is assumed that the development of methods and measuring instruments will go on.
