Abstract
Onečišćenje mora s brodova i zaštita morskog okoliša aktualna su svjetska tematika i problematika. Štetne tvari koje su najzastupljenije u pomorskom prometu, predstavljaju ozbiljnu prijetnju i odgovornosti ukoliko se ne skladište i ako se njima ne rukuje na propisan način. Međunarodna konvencija o sprječavanju onečišćenja mora s brodova (MARPOL) i Međunarodna konvencija o zaštiti ljudskih života na moru (SOLAS) predstavljaju temelj kojima se određuju pravila, odredbe i postupci rukovanja štetnim tvarima. Pored konvencija, postoje i akcijski planovi čija je svrha upravo izrada planova reagiranja na onečišćenje s podjelom odgovornosti, kao i detaljnih opisa svih metoda i postupaka intervencije, te naravno sredstva i opreme, sukladno vrsti i tipu štetne tvari. S obzirom na navedeno i istraženo cilj rada je ukazati na važnost pripravnosti i brze reakcije kod nesreća koje uključuju štetne tvari, a u cilju smanjenja onečišćenja morskog okoliša s brodova.
Abstract (english)
Marine pollution from ships and the protection of the marine environment are current world issues and problems. Harmful substances, which are most prevalent in maritime transport, pose a serious threat and liability if not stored and handled in the prescribed manner. The MARPOL and SOLAS Conventions are basis for the determination of the rules, regulations and procedures for the handling of harmful substances. In addition to the convention, there are action plans whose purpose is to develop pollution response plans with shared responsibility, as well as detailed descriptions of all methods and procedures of intervention, of course means and equipment, the appropriate type and type of harmful substances. Considering the stated and researched goal of the work, the importance of preparedness and quick reaction in case of accidents involving harmful substances was pointed out, in order to reduce the pollution of the marine environment from ships.
