Abstract
U povijesti je bilo nekoliko velikih pomorskih nezgoda koje su za posljedicu imale velike izljeve uljnog onečišćenja. Nuţnost donošenja strategija djelovanja i minimiziranja posljedica u slučaju takvih dogaĎaja preduvjet je budućeg odrţivog pomorskog prometa. Predmet ovog rada je prikazati vaţnost pravovremenog djelovanja i odabira odgovarajuće metode uklanjanja uljnog onečišćenja, koja će za posljedicu imati što manju količinu uljnog otpada. Pored investicija u sofisticiranu tehnologiju uklanjanja i odlaganja/gospodarenja uljnim otpadom, nuţno je ulaganje i u obrazovanje i obuku ljudskih resursa, čija će kompetentnost i stečene vještine uvelike pomoći u odabiru odgovarajuće metode prikupljanja uljnog otpada na licu mjesta, te smanjiti troškove i posljedice od uljnog onečišćenja. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati mogućnosti gospodarenja uljnim otpadom u odnosu na korištene metode prikupljanja uljnog izljeva.
Abstract (english)
In history there were few big maritime accidents that had massive oil spilling for consequences. The necessity of adopting a strategy of action and minimization of the consequences in case of such events is a prerequisite for future sustainable maritime transport. The goal of this thesis is to show the importance of prompt actions and selection of correct methods for removal of oil spills that will for a result have minimal oil waste in the end. Besides investments in sophisticated technology for removing, disposing/managing oil waste, it is necessary to invest in education and training of human resources, whose competence and gained skills will help in determination of the right method for on spot collecting of oil spillage, and will decrees expenses and negative effects of oil spill. Main objective of this work is to show the potentials of oil waste managing in relations to methods that are used for oil spill removal.
