Abstract
U ovom završnom radu obrađena je tema osposobljavanja posade za nove ECDIS sustave i njihova familijarizacija (engl: ECDIS - Electronic Chart Display and Information System Training and Familiarisation). Obuka i upoznavanje ključni su elementi uspješnog i sigurnog prijelaza sa papirnatih nautičkih karata na navigaciju s ECDIS sustavom. Bez detaljnog znanja, razumijevanja i kompetencije u korištenju sustava, vjerojatno je da sigurnost i učinkovitost koje ECDIS sustav može pružiti neće biti dovoljno iskorišteni. Plovilo opremljeno ECDIS sustavom koji koriste zapovjednik broda i časnici plovidbene straže, a nemaju potrebnu razinu obuke i poznavanja sustava dovesti će do veće vjerojatnosti za stvaranje opasnijeg okruženja tjekom navigacije. Međunarodni propisi zahtijevaju da se ECDIS sustav obvezno ugradi ili koristi kao primarno sredstvo pomoći u navigaciji, a zapovjednik broda i svi časnici plovidbene straže na mostu moraju proći obuku i zajedničko upoznavanje s određenom brodskom ECDIS opremom za koju moraju imati ovlaštenje. Cilj ovog rada je ukazati na značaj poznavanja ECDIS sustava i njegovo upoznavanje prije samostalnog korištenja, a u radu je i naveden primjer ECDIS sustava jednog od proizvođača te njegova obuka i upoznavanje.
Abstract (english)
In this final paper, the topic of crew training for new ECDIS systems and their familiarisation are discussed. Training and familiarisation are key elements in the successful and safe transition to navigation with ECDIS. Without detailed knowledge, understanding and compency in the use of the system, the safety and efficiency benifits wich ECDIS can deliver are unlikely to be relised. International regulations require that ECDIS is mandatory fit or being used for primary means of navigations the Master and all Watchkeeping Officers have recived both generic ECDIS training and familiarisation with specific ECDIS equipment onboard the vessel which they have been appointed to. The aim of this paper is to point out the importance of knowing the ECDIS and familiarisation before using, the paper also gives an example of an ECDIS system from one of the manufacturers and its training and introduction.
