Abstract
Brodski motor jedan je od najvažnijih strojeva kada govorimo o propulziji broda. Velika je potražnja za što boljim i efikasnijim motorima. Za poboljšavanje motora i za povećanje snage motora pri istim dimenzijama, koristi se sustav prednabijanja. Moderni sustavi prednabijanja koriste energiju ispušnih plinova za povećanje snage motora. Ta činjenica da koristi ispušne plinove je pogodna i zbog toga što na taj način iskorištava energiju koja se u protivnom ne bi iskoristila. Sustav prednabijanja brodskih motora znatno povećava ukupnu korisnost motora, a samim time smanjuje eksploatacijske troškove. U ovom radu objašnjen je način rada sustava prednabijanja, a ukazano je i na njegove prednosti i nedostatke. Detaljno je opisano turbopuhalo sa svim svojim dijelovima, te je ukazano na kakve sve probleme i kvarove moramo biti spremni da ne bi došlo do štete.
Abstract (english)
Ships engine is the most important machine when it comes to ships propulsion. There is a high demand for better and more efficient marine engines. To make engine better and increase its power without changing its dimensions, we use turbocharging system. Modern turbocharging system uses energy of exhaust gases to increase engine power output. The fact that it uses exhaust gases means that doing so it uses energy that wouldn't otherwise be used. Turbocharging significantly increases utility of the engine, thus lowering cost of exploatation. This article explain turbocharging system, and points to it advantages and disadvantages. All components of turbocharger are described in detail, and all problems and malfunctions that we need to be aware in oreder to avoid damage are pointed out.
