Abstract
Manevar zaustavljanja broda je manevar pri kojemu se brod naglo zaustavlja pomoću vožnje krmom. Zaustavni put je udaljenost potrebna brodu da se zaustavi od trenutka kada je dana zapovijed za zaustavljanje. Manevar zaustavljanja obično se vrši kako bi se izbjegla bilo kakva vrsta udara ili sudara broda. Svako plovilo pokazuje različita obilježja kada je riječ o zaustavnom putu zbog razlike u dimenzijama, opterećenju, manevarskim sposobnostima i hidrometeorološkim uvjetima. Vrlo je važno za časnika palube da zna manevarska obilježja broda kako bi manevar zaustavljanja bio što uspješniji. Rezultati navedenih testova manevriranja preispitani su i detaljno obrazloženi.
Abstract (english)
Crash stopping manouevre is a manoeuvre in which a ship makes a sudden stop by moving astern. Stopping distance is a distance required for a ship to stop from the moment the command for stopping has been given. Crash stopping manoeuvres are usually performed to avoid any kind of collision or collision of the ship to any other ship or structure. Each vessel exhibits different characteristics when it comes to stopping distance due to difference in dimensions, load, manoeuvring ability, sea state and wind condition. It is very important for a deck officer to know the manoeuvring characteristics of the ship so that the stopping manoeuvre can be well executed. The results of the following manoueuvring tests are reviewed and explained in detail.
